How to keep Google from indexing your WordPress site for search… Wait! Why would you want to do that? Isn’t the whole point to get found in search? Normally, it is. But there are some situations when you might not want your pages indexed, including sites-in-development, private sites like intranets, or brand new sites that you’re still adding content to.

I’m a big fan of Darren Rowse of ProBlogger (and Digital Photography School too), and here’s another example of his so-useful take on blogging. Finally – a security suggestion. Consider adding 2FA (two-factor authentication) to your WordPress login, meaning you get a code sent to your mobile device or email that you must use to login. Yes, it can be a pain in the neck, but it’s easy to implement with a plugin and helps stop hackers because they will no longer be able to login even if they have or guess your username and password.
