Major Internet Outages Today, Continuing
There was a DDoS (distributed denial of service) attack against DYN today. DYN manages DNS (domain nameservers) and is a major DNS host in the US. As a result, many popular sites like Twitter, Reddit, Etsy, Paypal, Pinterest, CNN and a long list of others have been hard to access today.
