WP Minder makes it easy to stay compliant with rapidly-changing privacy laws while you focus on your business!

You’ve probably received quite a few emails from companies notifying you that they updated their Privacy Policy. Data privacy is becoming a very big deal, and because of that, we recommend not only getting a Privacy Policy, but also having a strategy to keep it up to date.

What is data privacy and why does your business need to be concerned?

Several privacy laws are now in place to protect the personal information of residents of certain states with fines that can reach $2,500-$7,500 per website visitor. Examples of personal information include asking for a name and email on a contact form or using a website analytics tool (like Google Analytics).

More and more states are proposing their own privacy laws as well. In the US, there are 23 state privacy bills (and more are expected). Some of these bills would enable citizens to sue businesses for having a contact form without an updated Privacy Policy. Several of these state bills make note that businesses of any size and any location will have to comply or may face fines or lawsuits.

What can you do to get protected?

To be proactive about this issue, we’ve partnered up with a Privacy Policy generator called Termageddon. They will automatically update your website policies when the laws change (as well as notify you when changes are coming), and they do it at a fraction of the cost of a privacy attorney.

If Termageddon sounds like a good solution for your site, the license is only $12/mo, and we charge a one-time setup fee of $125 to help you create the policy pages, insert/test the code, and ensure your policies stay up to date with changes to the law.  We even put Termageddon’s policies on our own websites.

What’s included?

Besides the auto-updating Privacy Policy, you also get the following policies if you need them:

  • Terms of Service to protect YOU from your customers by stating the rules for using your website.
  • Disclaimer to limit your liability if you sell or provide legal, health or other advice or sell third-party services or products on your site.
  • Cookie Policy and Cookie Consent so users can choose their consent settings (required by several privacy laws).
  • EULA (end user license agreement) to limit liability for businesses that sell software.

The Dynamic Privacy Policy is just one more convenience we provide to help you manage your business with less stress.
